Designed for middle and high school students, we strive to partner alongside families in spreading the gospel to the upcoming generation. Our vision is to influence our youth with the gospel, meaningful relationships, and an undeniably fun environment through our weekly services and small groups.
The Christ Memorial staff is excited to announce a new face in the youth department: Josh DePree is the new High School Youth Director and is coming to us from Springdale, Arkansas, where he served as a youth director for the past year. He graduated from GVSU with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree in 2014, and in 2019 he graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary with a Masters in Youth Ministry. Josh also served as a youth director while attending seminary. He and his wife Chelsea have a six-month old daughter Charlie. They will soon arrive in Holland and Josh plans to begin his ministry here at CMC on Sunday, September 20.
Hannah Wahmhoff, after serving as the interim youth director this past summer and as a Blowout assistant last season, now has the official title of Middle School Youth Director. She has been a member of Christ Memorial her entire life and has participated in many of the children and youth programs. Hannah graduated this past spring from GVSU with a degree in bio-medical sciences and hopes to attend medical school in the future.
As part of his new job description, Henry Cherry has agreed to be our Community Youth Director, working alongside Josh DePree and Hannah Wahmhoff. He will also continue his duties in local ministry engagement.
We're excited for the ministry opportunities that this new team will bring to our church and to our community!
