September 27 - October 18, 2020
September 27: The word for the day is: Trust. As we catch up with the Israelites they’re in a season of transition. They’ve left Egypt behind & they’re still a long way off from the promise land. They’re stuck in the middle... between: what was & what will be. Maybe you can relate to that! Maybe you’re between Jobs, or relationships, or medical issues, or maybe you’re stuck in a Covid 19 world. The question is, How do we trust God in the uncertain times of life.
October 4: The word for the day is: Meltdown. Whenever we’re on the road the Question for the day is always, “How much further do we have to go?” Sometimes the journey seems too long. We get discouraged and disoriented. Life becomes difficult to navigate. Uncertainty and doubt seem to lurk around every corner and it’s wearing. We’re on the edge of emotional collapse. If we don’t get the answer we were hoping for, there’s going to be a Meltdown of some kind. Some of the questions for the day are; What’s pushing you over the edge? What’s too heavy for you to carry? And Can we complain to God?
October 11: The word for the day is: Provision. The question is, Is God really there? Does he really care? Does he ever give us more that we can handle? Can we trust him to always come through in a crisis? And what do we do when he doesn’t? When we pray and we don’t get an answer sometimes it causes us to question what we once thought was true.
October 18: The word for the day is: Discipline. The question is how do we respond to God’s discipline? Do we get angry? Do we lose faith? do we own our mistakes? Do we/can we, learn from our mistakes? Does God’s discipline ultimately become a growth experience for us. The truth is that that we grow the most spiritually in the most difficult seasons of life.
