Q: Do I have to reserve seats for worship?
A: Yes. We have an online system to save your seat for Sunday Worship. (here)
Q: What about those who are unable to reserve seats in advance?
A: We will have 10% of our capacity available on Sunday mornings for those without access.
Q: What if I am having an issue with reserving a seat online?
A: Please call the main phone number (616-796-3370) and the receptionist will be able to assist you.
Q: What kind of safety measures will be taken?
A: We will be encouraging physical distancing, mask wearing, and removing touch-points in the service.
Q: Will there be a bulletin?
A: We will not be distributing a paper bulletin. We will have a QR code on the main screen when you walk in that you may scan for our online bulletin. It is also updated/available on our website on Friday morning.
Q: Do I need to wear a mask?
A: We are asking and encouraging all of those in attendance to wear a mask on Sundays. All CMC staff and volunteers will have masks on.
Q: What entrances will be open?
A: B & C will be open.
Q: Will there be coffee?
A: We will not be providing coffee in our initial re-opening phase. We encourage you to BYOC!
Q: Will the kitchen be open?
A: We will not be serving food on Sunday mornings for the initial re-opening phase.
Q: How will the offering be handled?
A: There will offering baskets available in the back of the sanctuary at each sanctuary entrance to collect the offering.
Q: Will there be hand sanitizer available?
A: Yes. We will have it available at each entrance.
Q: Will the community hour be taking place?
A: Community hour is on hold until further notice.
Q: If I am in a high-risk group, should I attend?
A: If you are wondering if you are in a high-risk please refer to this link from the CDC. We ask those who are in a high-risk group to continue worshipping with us online unless you feel comfortable attending in person.
Q: Will there be a greeting time.
A: We will not be having our normal greeting time during the service. If it is the first time seeing someone in a long time, please do a socially-distanced high five and make the heart symbol with your hands- get creative!
Q: Is there a special dismissal/exiting procedure?
A: Please just observe healthy, physical distancing and promptly exit after the service. We have a cleaning team who have a limited timetable to get the sanctuary ready for the next service.
