BETHANY CHRISTMAS PROJECT 2020

Please consider giving a $60 gift card to enable a foster family or caseworker to purchase a  personalized gift for one (or more) Bethany foster children! (Deadline is Wed, Nov 25.)

Instructions:

     1. Send an e-mail to Nancy Miller at nmiller@hope.edu containing the following information:

        a.  Your name, address, and phone number

        b. The number of $60 gift cards you will purchase. (If a $30.00 gift works better for you, please feel free to do that instead.)

      2. Buy your gift cards at Target, Meijer, or Walmart.

    3. Enclose each gift card in a Christmas card for the foster parents. Please do not sign the card or seal the envelope.

      4. Attach a note to each Christmas card with your name on it and the dollar value of the gift card. (We will remove this before delivering the cards to Bethany.)

      5. Deliver your card by WEDNESDAY, NOV. 25 to the CMC receptionist (Mon-Thurs 9am – 3:30pm), Information Center on Sundays, or to Nancy Miller’s home at 140 E. 29th St., Holland. (If they are not home, please place your cards in the labeled box just inside the garage.)

Thank you for being willing to adapt to this new process and to help provide a very special  Christmas for Bethany's foster children!

                 BABY QUILTS!

Help keep a baby warm this winter at CMC mission partner, Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota!

A $40 donation will provide a baby blanket hand-sewn by the CMC Piecemakers Quilters as well as money for baby supplies.

Simply bring your donation to the Info Center in the lobby on Sundays or to the CMC receptionist during regular office hours.

Please contact Debbie Sanderson with questions.

Community Action House needs six-eight volunteers to assist staff with breaking down boxes, moving tables and racks around, putting the pantry back together, cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, sweeping the floors, and potentially cleaning up the parking lot. They are planning to serve upwards of 5,000 friends and neighbors this year for Thanksgiving and volunteers really power this work!  If you are interested, please use this Sign Up Sheet.  Contact Allison Ives with questions.

HELP FEED LOCAL CHILDREN!

Hand2Hand is striving to fill the gap of weekend hunger for many children in the Holland area. Currently Hand2Hand at CMC  is serving 286 students per week at six schools. There are many online learners this year so we are still developing a plan to provide bags to those students in need.  Therefore, we anticipate our numbers will grow. Please keep this ministry and the children we serve in your prayers. If you would like more info or would like to get involved, please contact Cindy Bosman at cindyjbosman@yahoo.com.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES

National Collection Week for the shoeboxes will be November 16-23.  Pack a box or two as a way of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to children around the world!  Shoeboxes and instructions are available at a table near Entrance B, so now is the time to shop for items to put in your boxes! Return deadline is Sunday, November 22.
