Truth Seekers - Wednesday Night Bible Study Group
Wednesday nights, 6-7:30pm
Winter Session begins January 6
Facilitator: Wayne Lazarock
Room 166 in the Adult Wing
If you are looking for a verse-by-verse study of the Bible, this group is for you! Utilizing John MacArthur’s Gospel of Matthew study guide, you’ll be digging deep into God’s Word as you explore Jesus’ miraculous birth, His response to the test of His kingliness, His miracles, His teachings, and His public ministry. The focus of this study and discussion group is not simply growing in knowledge, but in seeking to live out God’s Word in your daily walk and sharing what those life experiences look like with others. This group meets year-round and is continuously open to new people joining in at any time. Contact Lori at email@example.com with questions.
Monthly, Third Thursday, 9:30-11am
Winter Session begins January 21 (tentative)
Coordinators: Millie Snyder and Wilma Winkels
Teacher: Tam Velderman
Room 168-169 in the Adult Wing
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful” Psalm 1:1.
“Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD” Psalm 150:6.
Those are the first and the last verses of the Book of Psalms, and in between are words of worship and praise, of repentance, and of thankfulness that portray the span of attitude and emotion that the various authors: David, Solomon, Moses and others, wanted to convey through the words of these much-loved and often-memorized poems divided into five sections. We’ll take a look at selected Psalms, and also at the songs we now sing that encompass their words. From Psalm 1 - Psalter Hymnal #1 (1912) that we might have learned in our early elementary days, to Psalm 23 - “Gentle Shepherd” by Bill and Gloria Gaither (1974), we’ll open our Bibles and also the hymnals as we review and learn anew the familiar words. Join us in January 2021 for Psalms and Songs ~ Petitions and Praise. Due to the pandemic, Faithfulness Circle may not meet during the winter session.

We follow a study guide and some preparation is recommended, but not required. We are currently studying Hebrews using the NavPress Life Change Series.
Beginning January 7, we will participate in the church-wide study, discussing together as a group the book, My One Word written by Matt Ashcraft and Rachel Olsen. Men are welcome to join just for that four-week study.
